Yet another school district in the area could be on the brink. The Herald Palladium this morning is reporting that the Covert School Board is holding a an emergency meeting at 9 am to deal with a financial crisis. The district, apparently, is in danger of not being able to meet payroll. Staff and program cuts are a possibility, according to Superintendent Stephanie Burrage. The article says the board wants to try to find a way to meet its financial obligations without having to borrow money.
