The Southwest Michigan Planning Commission is taking comments on maps to help people commute and travel for recreation without a car. The maps show plans for 9 counties in southwest Michigan for where people can safely use trails and roads to make their way around. The comments will help the commission provide better maps and where actual construction may be needed for non-motorized transport. The commission's Suzann Flowers says this is the last opportunity you will have to let the commission know your views:
Flowers says she has already received 20 comments since the project began. She says the feedback will help the organization find the best connections for people:
Flowers is hoping for more comments regarding the tri-county area, but is welcoming any ideas you may have. The deadline to enter comments is August 15th.
