It’s looking like the Pokagons are getting ready to double down. The Herald Palladium is reporting this morning (Tuesday) that operators of the Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo are on the verge of announcing plans to build a new casino in Hartford Township. Preliminary plans suggest the casino would be built on tribal land about 2 miles west of Hartford on the north side of Red Arrow Highway. Estimates are that the new facility would employ 200 to 300 hundred people. The paper says the announcement could come today or tomorrow.
