The Winner's Circle annual Scholarship Benefit Auction exceeded expectations this past weekend. Lake Michigan College Vice President of Advancement and Planning Greg Koroch says while the official numbers aren't in yet. He says it looks like the auction surpassed its goal of raising $200,000. Koroch says there were over 600 items on the auction block this year.
Koroch says all of the money raised benefit Lake Michigan College's scholarship fun.
Koroch says almost 470 people attended the auction in support of the college.
This was the Winner Circle's 20th auction. Over the years, the auctions have raised more than $2.4 million and provided scholarships to more than 2,000 students.
