LMC Taking Part In New Textbook Rental Program

Lake Michigan College will be offering students a new way to save money on textbooks. This week, the college announced that its campus bookstore partner, Barnes and Noble College Booksellers, will start giving students the option of renting some of the more popular titles currently available. LMC says that textbooks for a full-time student can run anywhere between 600 and one-thousand dollars for a year, and it's expected that the average student could save up to 500 dollars if all the needed titles are available as rentals. LMC is among some of the first institutions to be invited to participate in the rental program by Barnes and Noble College Booksellers, and it will be available in the fall of 2010 at the South Haven and Napier Avenue campuses.
