Berrien RESA will be holding an open meeting this month for parents to learn more about a program designed to locate missing special needs children. RESA Autism and Off-Site Supervisor Jack Houser tells us that those with loved ones who have an impairment often worry about the possibility of that person wandering off, so a representative from the Berrien County Sheriffs Department will be on hand to talk about Project Lifesaver, which uses technology to find missing people quickly:
The presentation will be made during RESA's Lighthouse Education Center monthly parent meeting on Tuesday, March 16th at six-30 PM. Houser says that such meetings are held regularly on the second Tuesday of each month:
The March 16th meeting, however, is open to everyone:
The Lighthouse Education Center is on Glenlord Road in Saint Joseph. To find out more, call 429-2351.
